Mathuscha Ratnasingham
I am a second-year PhD student under the NIHR BRC Leicester PhD Fellowship, specialising in Respiratory Medicine. My research focuses on TRPM7 as a potential therapeutic target for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). I am experienced in a broad range of laboratory techniques including patch clamp electrophysiology, tissue culture, PCR, Western blotting, flow cytometry, mass spectrometry and additional molecular and cellular assays. I have previously undertaken an MRes research project investigating the effects of BK on membrane potential in glioblastoma multiforme under the supervision of Dr. Paul Smith.
